Thousands of lights twinkle among the trees, while a warm fire crackles in Santa and Mrs Claus’s cottage. Winter has transformed Sagolandet, and across the eight fairy-tale worlds, magical encounters and exciting adventures await.

Step into a winter fairy tale
When winter arrives at Sagolandet, the King and Queen of Winter return, joined by elves, winter fairies and other magical creatures.
Santa and Mrs Claus welcome you into their cosy cottage, where the fire is crackling. And at Sagolandet, children don’t just watch the story unfold – they meet the characters, join in the adventures and become part of the fairy tale themselves.
Where children become part of the winter story
At Sagolandet, children aren’t just spectators – they’re part of the adventure. They can meet fairy-tale characters up close, join in the adventures and step right into the stories as they unfold.
Winter brings even more characters to meet and adventures to discover. Familiar faces return alongside the King and Queen of Winter, winter fairies, dragons and other magical creatures.

Visit Santa and Mrs Claus in their cottage
At the heart of Sagolandet is Santa and Mrs Claus’s cottage. Inside, the fire crackles and a warm welcome awaits, while outside, winter darkness and thousands of twinkling lights surround Sagolandet.
Here, children can discover their own Tomtekraft – a special kind of inner strength that comes from believing in yourself. As Santa likes to say, it all starts with knowing that you’re wonderful just the way you are. And with Tomtekraft bubbling inside you, you might just discover that you can do more than you ever thought possible.
Meet the characters of winter
When the King and Queen of Winter arrive, the winter tales begin – and they’re far from the only ones bringing magic to Sagolandet.
The Winter Dragon awaits in Dragonland, while Busmössen – Sagolandet’s mischievous mice – and Santa’s elves pop up all around Sagolandet. Winter fairies Gnistra and Sprak bring their own kind of magic wherever they go.
Have you met the Fire Folk?
In The Enchanted Forest, the Fire Folk emerge among the trees, lighting up the winter darkness.
Watch their spectacular dance as fire and movement bring warmth and magic to the wintry landscape.

Sagolandet Tomteland is located in Gesunda in Dalarna, just outside Mora.
The Magical Winter: 28–29 November, 5–6, 12–13, 18–23 and 25–30 December, as well as 2–6 January 2027.

Good to know
The winter adventure is mainly an outdoor experience, so dress warmly for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
You can buy food and refreshments in the park, or bring your own packed lunch. There are plenty of places to sit and eat around Sagolandet.
Parking is right next to the entrance, and dogs are welcome in outdoor areas as long as they’re kept on a leash.
